Who is participating in Energy Efficiency OpportunitiesCorporations (A-B) Register for the EEO Workshops - May-June 2008Registrations are now open for the next round of Energy Efficiency Opportunity (EEO) workshops. The two day workshops will focus on effective assessments, accurate reporting, streamlining with NGERS and the Energy Savings Measurement Guide. Consultation on Proposed Amendments to the Energy Efficiency Opportunities Regulations 2006The Minister for Resources, Energy and Tourism, the Hon Martin Ferguson AM MP and the Minister for Climate Change, Senator the Hon Penny Wong have recently announced a review of the Energy Efficiency Opportunities Regulations (2006). The proposed amendments aim to better streamline energy use reporting with the Australian Government's new National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme. A consultation process on the proposed amendments has commenced. EEO companies are encouraged to provide feedback by 12th May 2008. Energy Savings Measurement GuideA best practice Guide has been created to assist companies estimate, measure, evaluate and track energy savings. The Energy Savings Measurement Guide will assist companies to meet the key assessment and reporting requirements of the Energy Efficiency Opportunities program, and measure greenhouse savings in a carbon constrained world.
